Jodie McDonald specializes in a highly effective and unique style of counselling called Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP). IBP combines relational talk therapy with breath work and movement to create a somatic or “embodied” experience of healing.

Our experiences, memories, emotions and traumas live in the body and can create holding patterns over time, impeding the flow of energy and causing restrictions, pain and illness. IBP can help us to integrate our experiences and emotions so we are no longer holding them in the body – they become a part of who we are.

Boundary work is also central to therapeutic work in IBP, as well as identifying our oldest patterns of relating that we learned in our first families.
